This James Turrell creation, made from Arkansas Mossy Fieldstone, is one of the less traveled gems of the public art projects at Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville, AR.
Sitting on a hill near the Compton Gardens entrance to the museum grounds, it puts on a colorful show with the changing sky every dusk and dawn. The internal color of the space changes to contrast and compliment the changing colors of the sky in a 45 minute show that is worth visiting.
This beautiful, Antique, Arkansas Fieldstone ( below ) is truly old school. We were asked to match the original stone on the Mercy Hospital addition in northwest Arkansas. The original stone, indigenous to the area, had been installed some seventy years ago. This exact stone was hard to find and is even more so today. But for OK Veneer, finding rare and unusual matching stones is a service we happily provide for our customers.
